Day 1

Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel. Delhi since the ages has been capital of many empires. Its history dates back to the time of Mahabharat. It was capital of the Pandavas and known as Indraprastha. Overnight stay is scheduled in Delhi hotel.

Day 2

Delhi sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed on a guided sightseeing tour of Delhi. Walk around the city and visit the historical monuments of Delhi. The tour starts in the morning with the old Delhi, built by the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan in 1639 AD. Red Fort, Chandani Chowk and Jama Masjid will be visited. Another monument of importance is Raj Ghat. Visit the Raj Ghat where the father of India, Mahatma Gandhi, was incinerated. For the Indians, it is a place where our national spirit reaches its peak, and for tourists, it is a great opportunity to observe the Indian nationalist spirit personally. You will visit the museum that was built to commemorate it. Akshardham Temple, a new shrine built on traditional Nagar style of temple architecture, has gained great prominence at Delhi’s tourism landscape. The India Gate will be your next stop. It is a war memorial. Thereafter proceed towards Qutub Minar, the largest minaret in India. It is located in Mehrauli, beautiful & picturesque area full of people and activities.

Later return to Delhi hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3

Delhi – Jaipur – Jaipur sightseeing

In the morning, after breakfast, depart for Jaipur, a bustling metropolis full of splendor, history and scenic beauty. The first planned city of medieval era India, Jaipur was founded about 300 years back based on Hindu treatise of architecture – the Vastushastra. Jaipur got its name from Maharaja Jai Singh, the one in charge of its foundation. On arrival, check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, move on a guided sightseeing tour of Jaipur that includes visit to City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. City Palace is a perfect blend of three notable styles - Mughal, Rajput and European. HawaMahal is popular all over the world for its extraordinary structure. Jantar Mantar is still.

Touring the city will make you feel completely at peace with yourself and the surroundings. Hereinafter, explore lively markets of Jaipur and walk the streets full of people. In the evening, you will be taken to attend aarti in Govind Dev ji Temple. Later, return to Jaipur hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4

Jaipur tour

Jaipur is beautiful, full of life and spirit. It is an amazing place to be. After breakfast, the guided sightseeing will ensure you visit the historical monuments of Jaipur and Amber. The morning begins with a trip to Amber Fort, also called Amber Palace, the old capital of Jaipur. Visit this spectacular fortress built in sandstone and marble by Raja Man Singh, divided into four sections, each with a patio. The main gate is Surajpol, which has lovely architecture. Near Ganesh Gate, there is a temple dedicated to the Goddess Sila Devi. The Diwan-e-Aam, the audience hall, Diwan-e-Khas, a private audience hall, Sheesh Mahal, the palace of mirrors and Sukh Niwas are beautiful places. In the Sukh Niwas, a pleasant climate is created by the wind that blows over a cascade of water.

After visiting Amber Fort, visit Jaigarh Fort known for housing world’s largest canon Ramban, water harvesting system, weaponry museum and a decrepit foundry. Hereinafter, return to city. On the way, visit Panna Meena Ka Kund and watch Jal Mahal. In the city, visit Albert Hall, a museum. Evening is free for leisure and shopping activities. Stroll through the shopping centers of Jaipur. A tour in Jaipur is not complete without shopping. Jaipur is known for its clothing, carpets, precious and semi-precious stones, jewelry, silk paintings,miniatures and various handicrafts made of wood, steel, among others. The transport will be at your disposal within the limits of the city.

Day 5

Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri - Agra

After breakfast, drive for Agra. On the way, visit Fatehpur Sikri, built in the 16th century by Mughal ruler Akbar. Fatehpur Sikri has a first-class testimony of the Mughal civilization and is a UNESCO heritage monument. It houses Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chishti, five storied Panch Mahal and Buland Darwaja which is a wonderful piece of impressive architecture. Also go to Ibadat Khana, Mariam-uz-Zamanis Palace, Naubat Khana and Birbal’s residence.

After visiting Fatehpur Sikri, you will be taken to Agra hotel. You will have free time to visit the local bazaars. Transportation will be at your disposal. Overnight stay will be in Agra hotel.

Day 6

Agra sightseeing – Delhi (by car) – Kolkata (by flight)

Agra, earlier a Rajput kingdom, emerged into center of power during Mughal rule in India. Located on the banks of the Yamuna River, Agra was capital of Mughal regime and naturally became favorite land for strategic forts, royal palaces, religious monuments and happening market, giving employment to artisans and craftsmen. Agra is part of the Golden Triangle, next to Delhi and Jaipur.

At the time of sunrise, accompanied by Agra tour guide, visit Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world. Constructed by Shah Jahan, this beautiful mausoleum is elegantly crafted of white marble. It is majestically standing on the banks of the Yamuna River. This impressive and immensely charming monument is synonymous with romance and love. Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays. Having seen Taj Mahal, return to hotel to refresh and have breakfast. Check out from the hotel to proceed on a guided sightseeing of Agra Fort, part of the UNESCO world heritage. It is admired for its architectural grandeur. It was the site of a Rajput mud fort (called ‘garhi’). Akbar built a gargantuan sandstone fort palace complex in 16th century. Jahangir and Shah Jahan added several buildings within its premises. It is home to beautiful buildings such as Khas Mahal and Jahangir Palace. You will also visit Diwan-e-Aam and Diwan-e-Khas. In the afternoon you can visit the bazaars of Agra. Agra is famous for its marble inlays and its wood and brass crafts. Agra is a city of culture and is a place where history is as rich as oxygen in the air.

Post lunch, depart for New Delhi. On arrival at New Delhi, you will be transferred to New Delhi airport to board Kolkata-bound flight. On arrival at Kolkata, you will be received by our representative and transferred to Kolkata hotel to have overnight stay therein.

Day 7

Kolkata sightseeing - Departure

Guided Kolkata tour will commence soon after breakfast and getting checked out of the hotel. It will be a full-day exploration of the tourist attractions of Kolkata. You will be visiting Prinsep Ghat, Tagore House, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Victoria Memorial Hall, Belur Math & Kalighat Kali Temple. One can also opt for visiting Nirmal Hriday, seat of Mother Teressa, instead of Belur Math and Kali Temple. During the course of sightseeing, you will pass through GPO, Shaheed Minar, Eden Gardens, Akashvaani Bhawan, Howrah Station, Writers’ Building, Governor’s House, High Court, Maidan, Town Hall, Fort William, Race Course, Lal Dighi. Another salient aspect is that one will drive over Howrah Bridge.
