Rishikesh – Yoga Session - 2
As per training class schedule, you will be taken to Yoga centre to learn and practice ‘aasanas’, breathing exercises, Yoga Nidra, meditation etc.
Come back to hotel to relax and have breakfast. Thereafter, visit Triveni Ghat on the banks of the Ganga. Ganga Aarti of Triveni Ghat is very famous and a large number of devotees gather to participate in the religious ritual daily.
Walk on Laxman Jhula, a suspension bridge across Ganga, on the way to Badrinath. Originally, there was a hanging bridge of jute ropes till 1889. The present bridge, at the same site, was rebuilt with iron ropes. It is believed that Lord Ram's brother Laxman crossed the river here on a jute rope. On the west bank, there is a Laxman temple also.
Parmarth Niketan Ashram is certainly a not-to-be-missed place. It is truly a spiritual haven, lying on the holy banks of the Ganga in the lap of the lush Himalayas. It is the largest ashram in Rishikesh. Ashram offers clean, pure and sacred atmosphere beatified by beautiful gardens. Overnight stay is scheduled in Rishikesh hotel.
Before returning to hotel, visit Geeta Bhawan, a highly sacred temple adjacent to Laxman Jhula. Overnight stay is scheduled in Rishikesh.
