Rajasthan is a state of celebration. This state has so much to offer when it comes to culture, partying and carnivals. In addition to some common religious festivals of India, there are some important fairs and festivals that are celebrated exclusively here. Most of these festivals are associated with rural life and huge livestock fairs are held each year in different parts. The camel fair in Pushkar is a very popular festival especially among foreign tourists. It is held the month of October - November in the sacred city of Pushkar. Some other Rajasthan festivals are the Desert Festival in Jaisalmer, the Mewar Festival in Udaipur, the Gangaur Festival in Jaipur, the Chandrabhaga festival in Jhalawar, the Sufi festival in Nagaur and many more.
