Agra - Delhi (210 Kms/ 04 hours) - Departure
At sunrise, visit the Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), bright white marble mausoleum built by Mughal ruler Shah Jahan in memory of his deceased wife Mumtaz Mahal, is undoubtedly the most famous monument of India. It is said to be the eighth wonder of the world and the most famous monument in India. Raised in a garden on the banks of the Yamuna, this marvelous monument with its inlay works of semi-precious stones, inlaid in white marble, celebrates the memory of a woman and immortalizes the love that the emperor bore for her. Later, return to hotel to have breakfast. After breakfast and relaxing a bit, depart for New Delhi by road.
On arrival at New Delhi, explore few famous highlights of the city. Visit of Delhi, the capital of the India. Since 1060 when the Rajput Tomara clan chose it to establish as its capital, Delhi has been political centre of India. Formerly Indraprastha, its origin dates back to the Vedic times. You will be first taken to discover Qutub Minar, famous minaret, a fantastic 73 m high monument. It is one of the oldest monuments of Delhi (12th century). Thereafter, visit India Gate, President House, Parliament and Connaught Place (or Connaught Circus). Connaught Place is the meeting place of a crowd attracted by many shops, cinemas, restaurants, offices and Jan Path, on the outskirts of Connaught Place, is the grand boulevard of New Delhi, a major commercial thoroughfare. Later, in time you will be transferred to international airport to board flight for your onward destination.
