Tribal Habitat Museum

Not far away, on Shamla Hills, State Archaeological Museum is interesting and rich in pieces from different eras. It is located near the aquarium of Banganga road. This museum is an evidence of the prosperity of Madhya Pradesh. There is a collection of the ancient statues. You will discover a beautiful collection of Jain bronzes dating from the period of Paramar dynasty (XII th century). We also advise you to go to the room "Freedom Struggle" upstairs which makes a retrospective on the struggle of the Indians for their independence. It takes 2 hours for a complete visit of this museum which has many rooms.

State Archaeological Museum remains open from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm, except Monday and public holidays. Entrance fee is INR 100.
