Nawab Siddique was the Accountant General and Chief of the Department of Education and Mir Munshi of the Bhopal State. He was a great historian and literary person. It is told that at his time there was no other person so intelligent in Arabian language as the status of Nawab Siddique. Beyond the Arabic language, he was also brilliant in Persian and Urdu languages.
