Conceptualized and organized by Madhya Pradesh Kala Parishad, Khajuraho Dance Festival started since 2002. Western Group of Temples is the venue of
this majestic cultural extravaganza. The Khajuraho Dance Festival is organized in an open air auditorium, a location in front of Chitragupt Temple &
Vishwanath Temple. The Chitragupta Temple, in background, glimmers with brightly and beautifully lit lights.
Entry fee of Khajuraho Dance Festival has been kept affordable; keeping in view that keenly interested visitors don’t miss it. Entry into the event is possible by either tickets or passes, issued to dignitaries. The entry tickets prices range from INR 100 to INR 500. The entry fee is revised every year. The ticket price varies depending on the seat placement. The viewers interested in attending all the shows for seven days, may buy ‘seasonal ticket’.
Timings of the performances are pre-determined. It commences at 7 PM and lasts for two and a half hour, thus, ends at 9:30 PM. The
timing of the Khajuraho Dance Festival is well chosen keeping in mind to enthrall the viewers with brilliantly illuminated temple background, serenity of the environment and pleasant ambience.
Renowned dancers of Bharatnatyam, Mohini Attam, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Kathak etc. dance forms land here and enthrall the viewers with their artistic flair. The Khajuraho Dance Festival schedule & chronology of various performances, the list of artists, date-wise dance forms and detailed program will be declared in December.
