In the Kandariya Mahadeva temple, the largest of the group, details of bewildering complexity are massed together to form a perfectly balanced unity. Each of the 800 statues in the temples is a masterpiece of sculptural art. The Lakshmana temple stands on a high platform of masonry with smaller shrines at the four comers thus presenting a Panchayatana type of temples. The Parsvanatha and the Ghantai temples are equally remarkable for their beautiful design, profusion of sculptures and graceful pillars. Day 1

Arrival at Khajuraho

On arrival at Khajuraho, you will first be transferred to the pre-booked hotel to refresh, relax and get ready for leisurely exploration. Archaeological Museum and Sound & Light Show will be today’s highlights. One of the most spectacular places and monuments of the world, Khajuraho deserves a thorough exploration – its terrain, people, market, temples, culture, lifestyle, folklores, folk dances & village. First, visit the Khajuraho museum with extraordinary wealth of sculptures. Then explore local market and old town. Later in the evening, attend Sound & Light Show in Western Group complex. This remarkable show introduces you with the heritage of Khajuraho, though virtually. Later, return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2

Visit Khajuraho - Departure

Have breakfast in hotel and move along with city tour guide for deeper and extensive sightseeing of Khajuraho temples. Although each temple of Khajuraho is different but the structure that follows some basic tenets is similar. All of them are placed on an elevated platform, on which the profusely decorated towers are built. The structures are formed of granite and sandstone, which facilitates the extraordinary and voluptuous sculptures that the artists of the time sculpted. Figures of diverse Hindu deities, ritual dances, courtly life, geometry, animal and provocative figures coexist with a very long series of sculptures implying sex and sensuality with kind of poses and positions mentioned in the Kamasutra. In fact, it is these figures that give these temples maximum originality. Although in Hindu and Buddhist art figures of apsaras and dancers are carved but the explicitness found in the temples of Khajuraho is unusual. The temples of Khajuraho are segregated into western, southern and eastern groups. Videography is permitted without any fee. It takes almost 4 hours to complete the sightseeing. Post lunch, you will be transferred either to railway station or airport to proceed on your onward journey.

We would require 50% advance payment to secure your bookings and process the file. We accept bank transfers and payment by credit cards through PAYPAL international payment gateway only. Balance amount needs to be paid on arrival in India by cash, Traveller’s Cheques or credit cards. All credit card payments are subject to 4.88% bank fees.

Cancellation Terms:

50% cancellation if cancelled within 45 days.

75% cancellation if cancelled within 30 days.

100% cancellation if cancelled 15 day or less.
