The Crawford Market, rechristened as Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Market, has the atmosphere of a typical Indian market. From flowers and fruit to clothes -- all the necessities are there. While there, if one remembers T.S. Eliot's line, "Streets that follow like a tedious argument", it is not because of the situation of the streets but because of the arguments that go on along the streets between the vendors and the customers. But they are not always tedious, they are good-humoured and witty.
