Day 1

Delhi arrival & transfer to hotel

As an esteemed guest of India, you will be greeted by our representative at Indira Gandhi International Airport. You will be accosted to hotel in Delhi. Check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay has been planned in Delhi hotel.

Day 2

Delhi city tour

After leisurely breakfast, proceed on a full-day guided sightseeing of Delhi, a bustling metropolis which combines in its folds the ancient with modern. The Luxury Rajasthan Tour will take you on an exotic tour of Delhi which showcases many historical monuments, rich cultural lineage, bustling bazaars, exceptional cuisines, vast variety of handcraft products etc. The major attractions of sightseeing are Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan (President House), Sansad Bhavan (Parliament), Raj Ghat, Akshardham Temple or Lotus Temple and Qutub Minar. On Monday, Laxmi Narayan Temple, instead of Akshardham Temple and Lotus Temple, will be shown. The reason being, Akshardham Temple and Lotus Temple remain closed on Monday. Rickshaw ride in 400 year old Chandni Chowk market will be an exotic experience. Overnight stay has been scheduled in Delhi hotel.

Day 3

Delhi – Mandawa / Nawalgarh

After breakfast, depart for Mandawa / Nawalgarh, prominent tourist destinations of Rajasthan. Both of the towns are true representative of Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. Shekhawati towns are home to colorful havelis (mansions). These havelis, built by rich Marwari traders, are known worldwide for beautiful frescoed walls. The murals and frescoes are primarily inspired by religious stories & mythology, but, many mansions display murals of contemporary subjects / issues. Both of these towns were very much on ‘silk route’ and flourished exponentially. These Marwari merchants in early 18th century not only built lavish and beautiful mansions for their families but also contributed a lot for the community and society at large. They constructed chhatris (cenotaphs), temples & baoris (step-wells) with ornate frescoes adorning their walls. As a result the Shekhawati region is popularly known as Open-Air-Art- Gallery.

On arrival, you will be directly transferred to the hotel of stay. Post lunch, explore Shekhawati town on a guided sightseeing tour which takes you to visit Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, Goenka Double Haveli, Jhunjhunwala Haveli, Gauri Shankar Haveli, Chaudaharia Haveli, Mandawa Fort and village life in Rajasthan. Your overnight stay has been planned in a heritage hotel in Mandawa.

Day 4

Mandawa – Bikaner

After breakfast, depart for Bikaner / Gajner. Founded by Rao Bika Ji in 1488 AD, Bikaner is a desert city with several monuments and museums to visit. On arrival, you will directly be transferred to one of the luxury heritage hotels in the city. Famous as city of desert and dessert, Bikaner is known for camel safaris, historical forts, lavish palaces, beautiful temples, enchanting havelis and colorful market.

Having relaxed for a while, guided sightseeing tour of Bikaner will be conducted which includes Junagarh Fort (constructed of red sandstone & marble with kiosks & balconies embellishing the structure at intervals), Lalgarh Fort (a magnificent example of pure Rajput martial architecture and designed by Sir Swinton Jacob of Britain), Sardul Museum, Bhand Sagar and Camel Farm and Breeding Research Centre. After exploring Bikaner, later in the evening, return to Bikaner hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5

Gajner – Deshnok - Khimsar

After breakfast, drive towards Khimsar. On the way, visit Rat Temple or Karni Mata Temple at Deshnoke. Khimsar is home to a desert fort palace, built in 1523 AD. Lying amidst vast expanse of Thar Desert, presently, Khimsar Fort Palace has been converted into a luxury heritage hotel. On arrival at Khimsar, check in at the prestigious hotel, known for luxury of the yore and comfort of today. Have a firsthand feel of the rural and rustic way of life in the harsh circumstances of the desert while enjoying sheer luxury in the palace hotel. Day 6

Khimsar - Jaisalmer

After breakfast, depart for Golden City of Rajasthan, Jaisalmer. Founded by Bhati Rajput king Rawal Jaisal in 1156 AD, Jaisalmer had been an important & ancient trade centre because of its strategic location on the camel trade routes. Jaisalmer is the last post on western border. The city is known for beautiful havelis (mansions), grand fort, beautiful ‘chhatris’ (cenotaphs) and camel safaris in desert. On arrival at Jaisalmer, check in at the hotel and spend rest of the day in leisure.

Day 7

Jaisalmer city & desert tour

After breakfast, guided tour of Jaisalmer will commence. Jaisalmer is well renowned for its yellow sand desert, Sonar Qila (Golden Fort), havelis, camel safaris and cenotaphs. The sightseeing includes Sonar Qila (Jaisalmer Fort), Manak Chowk and beautiful havelis, hallmarks of Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer Fort is a living fort and whole town inhabits within it. Among major tourist attractions in Jaisalmer are Nathmalji-ki-Haveli, Patwon-ki-Haveli, Salim Singh-ki-Haveli & Jain temples. After visiting Sonar Qila (Jaisalmer Fort), collect your baggage and proceed on for a wonderful camel safari. This camel safari will take you to Sam or Khuri golden sand dunes to ensure your stay in the tented accommodation with dinner while folk dance and folklores are being performed. Camel safari will expose before you the desert expanse and the molten-gold desert changing hues to glistening ochre, deep yellow-red, red, bluish to a dark black. Overnight stay is scheduled in air-conditioned tented accommodation on sand dunes of Jaisalmer.

Day 8

Jaisalmer – Osian - Jodhpur

After breakfast in the tent, depart for Jodhpur. On the way to Jodhpur, the Blue City of Rajasthan, visit an ancient village Osian, earlier a very prominent trade centre. It is famous for its intricately carved and highly revered Hindu & Jain temples. The Sun Temple is of the most archaeological importance. There are 16 temples of stunning architectural quality. Mahavir Jain Temple, Sachiya Mata Temple, Chandi Temple, Amba Mata Temple and Sun Temple are worth visiting. After exploring Osian, drive towards Jodhpur. On arrival at Jodhpur, check in at the hotel to have overnight stay.

Day 9

Jodhpur city tour

After relaxed breakfast, you will be taken on a guided tour of Jodhpur. Jodhpur is the second biggest city of Rajasthan and the largest city of Marwar region. It was founded in 1459 AD by Rao Jodha of Rathore Rajput clan. There are many monuments like Mehrangarh Fort, Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace which enthrall the tourists. The fort museum houses an exquisite collection of palanquins, howdah (Elephant saddle), royal cradles, miniatures, costumes & furniture.

After Jodhpur sightseeing tour, you shall be taken to the artisans' village in Jodhpur. These artisans belong to Bishnoi community of Rajasthan. In tourism parlance, this village exploration is known as Bishnoi Village Safari. It will help you come across fabulous artistic expertise & craftsmanship mastered over generations. Later in the evening return to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 10

Jodhpur – Ranakpur - Udaipur

After breakfast, depart for Udaipur. On the way, about 95 km prior, stop at Ranakpur. Visit magnanimous Jain temples of Ranakpur. Ranakpur, a small village in Pali district of Rajasthan, looks like an oasis in a desert state. Ranakpur Jain temples were built by Seth Dharna Sah with the aid from Rana Kumbha in 15th century. This site is dedicated to Lord Adinath, one of the five major Jain pilgrimage sites. Built on 48000 square feet basement and 1400 intricately carved pillars, these temples are built in light coloured marble. Another stunning fact about these columns is that they change their color from golden to pale blue after every hour during the day. None of the two pillars are same in their carvings. Ranakpur temple complex consists of several temples like Chaumukha temple, Parsavanath temple, Amba Mata Temple and Surya Temple. Due to superb, exquisite and greatly intricate carvings, these temples took almost 65 years in completion. Ranakpur temples are rated among 77 wonders of the world. Ranakpur temples are must- see monuments to visit while on Rajasthan tour. Late afternoon, move for Udaipur. On arrival at Udaipur, check in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11

Udaipur city tour

After breakfast, proceed on a guided tour of Udaipur, previous capital of Mewar region of Rajasthan. After destruction of Chittorgarh by the Muslim invaders, the capital of Mewar was shifted in Udaipur. Since then, Udaipur had been capital of Sisodia dynasty. Udaipur is termed as 'city of sunrise', 'city of lakes' and 'Venice of the East’. Move on for exploring Udaipur, the city popularly called as ‘lovers' paradise’. The City Palace, famous for its grandiose scale and Rajput architectural finesse, was built in the year 1625 AD. In addition to magnificent palace complex, City Palace of Udaipur houses a grand museum which showcases folk dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, musical instruments and paintings based on Indian mythology. Also, visit Saheliyon ki Bari, Jagdish Temple (an Indo-AryanTemple), Maharana Pratap Memorial. Late in the afternoon, you will be taken to Lake Pichhola where you will be having a boat ride and watching the beautiful city and grand Lake Palace (Jag Niwas) of Udaipur. Come back to hotel in the evening for overnight stay.

Day 12

Udaipur – Kumbhalgarh - Udaipur

After breakfast, along with tour guide, proceed for Kumbhalgarh, famous for its mammoth fort. Kumbhalgarh wields tremendous respect and eminence not only in Rajasthan but also in whole India. Kumbhalgarh was built by Rana Kumbha, the legendary hero & warrior of Rajasthan. But it is widely known and respected for being the birth place of Maharana Pratap. Kumbhalgarh Fort, built on a steep hillock, is surrounded by abounding wildlife and un-spoilt nature. After sightseeing tour of Kumbhalgarh Fort, drive back to the city of lakes- Udaipur. Day 13

Udaipur to Pushkar

Post breakfast, check out from Udaipur hotel and drive for Pushkar, the religious capital of Rajasthan. On arrival, check in at the designated Pushkar hotel. After taking rest for some time, move for Pushkar sightseeing. Pushkar is one of the prominent pilgrimage cities of the Hindus. The only Lord Brahma temple is located in Pushkar. Guided Pushkar tour comprises a visit to Pushkar Lake. Around Pushkar Lake, you will happen to see routine religious rituals performed by the Hindus. It's a beautiful semi-circular lake with 52 lovely ghats surrounding it. According to beliefs, a dip into Pushkar Lake on the auspicious occasion of Karthik Poornima brings salvation to devotees. Karthik Poornima is celebrated with extreme gusto every year in the form of globally renowned Pushkar Fair (Pushkar Mela).

Day 14

Pushkar – Jaipur

Today, the journey takes you to Jaipur, the cultural and political centre of Rajasthan. Pink City of Rajasthan, as Jaipur is popularly called, was the first planned city of medieval India which had been designed, laid and habited on conventional nine-grid pattern that is supposed to be lucky. On your arrival, you will be directly taken to the pre-booked hotel to have some rest. Thereafter, your sightseeing tour of Jaipur will start. The first day Jaipur tour will include visit of Hawa Mahal (palace of winds), Jantar Mantar, City Palace & Govind Dev Ji Temple. Hawa Mahal is the signature symbol of Jaipur. Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory which is a proof of the keen interest of the then rulers in the science and investigation of the effects of various planets on human life. City Palace depicts the royal indulgence in luxury. Govind Dev Ji Temple, temple of the royal family and very much located in the heart of the city, will be visited during early evening to participate in ‘aarti’ ceremony. Evening aarti in Govind Dev Ji Temple is mesmerizing.

Come back to hotel in the evening for overnight stay.

Day 15

Jaipur tour

Delicious breakfast is ready for you in the morning. Have breakfast and move for Amber Fort around 8 AM. Elephant ride takes place in the morning only. The elephant ride at Amber Fort will recall you the olden days of Rajas & Maharajas (kings & monarchs). Riding on elephant, reach at the entrance of the fort, one of the prime tourist attractions of Jaipur. Without visiting Amber Fort, one of the largest and tastefully built fort & palace complex, any tourist's Jaipur visit remains incomplete. It is symbolic of the heydays of the Kachwaha clan of Rajputs who ruled Jaipur for centuries.

After visiting Amber Fort, move on for visiting Jaigarh Fort which is still in possession of the erstwhile rulers' family. Their royal flag is still hoisted in Jaigarh Fort. You will see here extremely scientific and ingenious water storage and distribution system. Also, you will enjoy watching world's largest canon on wheels (Jaivana), an armoury and a museum. Now drive down to return to the city. On the way, stop at two beautiful monuments – Panna Meena Ka Kund & Jal Mahal.

Return to hotel in the afternoon. Have lunch and rest. Late afternoon, visit bustling bazaars of Jaipur which is famous for its handicrafts, marble products, carpets, gems and jewellery.

Later in the evening return to Jaipur hotel for overnight stay.

Day 16

Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri - Agra

Today, after breakfast, you start your journey for Agra, the seat of world renowned Taj Mahal. En route, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, 35 kms prior to Agra. Fatehpur Sikri is a historic destination. Mughal king Akbar shifted his capital from Agra to Fatehpur Sikri but due to paucity of water, he had to relocate his capital back in Agra. Monuments like Buland Darwaja, Jama Masjid, Jodha Bai (first Rajput lady married to a Muslim king) Palace, Panch Mahal, Birbal Bhawan and shrine of Salim Chishti are worth watching.

Later in the afternoon, after visiting Fatehpur Sikri, move for Agra. On arrival, check in at the designated hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure.

Day 17

Agra city tour - Delhi

Even though this is the last leg of your Luxury Rajasthan Tour, it happens to be the most memorable day of your entire tour as you are in front of long cherished and one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Taj Mahal; and that too during dawn hours when Taj Mahal looks most beautiful. Built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal (Arjumand Bano Begum), Taj Mahal, a UNESCO world heritage site, is an epitome of love in white marble on the banks of river Yamuna. After viewing the beautiful Taj Mahal in the early hours of morning, return to your hotel to have breakfast. Thereafter, move on for sightseeing of other famous monuments of Agra which include Agra Fort & Tomb of It Mad-ud-Daula.

After sightseeing, post lunch, depart for New Delhi. Continue to drive to Delhi. Arrive at Delhi. Our representative will meet and give you transfer to the designated hotel.

Delhi - Departure

After breakfast, you will be in-time transferred to New Delhi airport to board flight for your onward destination.
