the newest and youngest royal palace of Rajasthan and is famed all across the globe for its grandeur.

paintings and some of the heirlooms of the Jodhpur ruling family can be seen here. A part of it
is now converted into a hotel. The foundation stone during the construction was laid by Maharaja

By employing yellow sandstone, Makrana marbles a Burmese teak wood, a maze of history, heritage, and memories has been created. Mesmerizingly beautiful wall painting of the palace is the creation of Polish artist J S Norblin. Umaid Bhawan Palace has been segregated into three parts – (1) the Royal Place, still home to royal family of Jodhpur; (2) the Umaid Bhawan Museum, a quirky collection of watches, vintage cars, coins, amazing paintings depicting royal family members, porcelain wares etc; and (3) a heritage luxury hotel being run and managed by Indian Hotels Company Limited under the brand Taj Hotels. It has been rated world’s best heritage hotel.
