Pari Mahal is located at the head of the Zabarwan mountain range. Pari Mahal, a major attraction in Srinagar, is a garden with seven terraces. Pari Mahal garden is laid out on the ruins of the centuries old Buddhist monastery. The garden, sized 122 meter by 62.5 meter, is an example of Islamic architecture. Pari Mahal is located near Chashma Shahi Srinagar. It was built by Prince Dara Shikoh in the middle of the 17th century. The garden was built by Dar Shikoh in honour of his tutor and, later, used as an observatory. The maintenance of Pari Mahal garden is now conducted by the state government. If you once visit this garden, you shall wish to visit it again and again.
