The Nagin Lake derives its name from the surrounding trees. The lake is a beautiful deep blue water lake. It is one of the most fascinating aspects of Nagin Lake. It is sometimes called the jewel of the crown. The lake has a number of barges in it. The lake water removes stress and so draws commanding value in today's world. From Lake Nagin, it's easy to sail through into a small Kashmiri market on the edge of the Hazratbal Mosque, or visit one of the pretty gardens designed by the Mughal emperors, who occupied the region in the 16th & 17th century.
