This International Folk Festival goes on for 5 consecutive days and presents the best performers from across the globe. It is held during the auspicious time of ‘Sharad Purnima’, making it a cultural-cum-religious event. Folklores & cultural heritage of Rajasthan are main attractions. The Jodhpur RIFF begets new talents. The festival opens with a dance performance representing the true culture of Rajasthan. More than 250 musicians and dancers participate & contribute to the entertainment. Musicians, dancers and other artists perform in the evening whereas morning time is allotted to the school children who are brought to perform to encourage talent from young age.
The first day of the Rajasthan International Folk Festival, Jodhpur has been allotted to the foreign music, dance & circus performers. The next two days are majorly allotted for the cultural events of Indian performers. It is expected to include poetry & drama descriptions, music performances, folk dances, martial art performances etc.
