Dalhousie is one of the most refreshing hill stations of Himachal Pradesh, India. There are so many places of scenic beauty and historical importance. At an altitude of 8,000 feet, Kalatop is 8 km from Dalhousie. The last 2 km through a dense cedar and fir woods makes a tranquil walk. Khajjiar, an enticing bowl-shaped depression, is situated 6,400 feet above sea-level. "Khajiar is the prettiest place I have seen in India," said Curzon, the Governor-General of India, in 1900. Among other picnic spots around Dalhousie are Dain Kund, Jandhari, Ghat, Subhas, Baoli, Punj Pulla, and Sat Dhara.
