Bharadra Fort holds significant place on the map of Ahmedabad tourism. The Bhadra Fort enclosing royal palaces and gardens once had 12 gates. Inside the fort is housed the Bhadrakali temple. It has an impressive clock-tower. The fort was first constructed by the Marathas in 1411 AD and later, keeping in view its strategic importance, Sultan Ahmed Shah further fortified it. It’s the most prominent royal building still preserved nicely to behold. The Bhadra Fort is now-a-days the venue of flag hoisting ceremonies on the occasions of Independence Day & Republic day. The present day Bhadra Fort is flanked by two government offices in vicinity and Teen Darwaza.
