Though the ashram is old, still it is well maintained one with all the accommodation facilities. It has several rooms for the staying purpose. The complex of the ashram has a Sanskrit school and a residential hostel for the poor children. Religious activities like Bhajans and Aartis are conducted on regular basis. Along with all these things, meditation and yoga classes are held here for the people. This place can be considered as the retreat for the yoga lovers. The Sapt Rishi Ashram also attracts many of the sages, saints, ‘rishis’, and priests from all parts of the world. Sapt Rishi Ashram is at a distance of 6.5 km from Haridwar Railway Junction (Station) and 5 km from Har Ki Pauri. It hardly takes 15 minutes from Har ki Pauri to reach the ashram. It is specifically located in Motichur, on the banks of River Ganga. It is right next to the Bharat Mata Mandir. Not more than an hour will be needed to explore the ashram. Through the medium of taxis and the buses, one can reach the ashram. The entry inside the sshram is totally free but the pets are not allowed to take in. The ashram is open on all days from Sunday to Saturday every week. It is also open on all the public holidays too. The timing of the ashram is from 8.30 am to 6 pm. One must visit the ashram to escape the hustle-bustle of the city life and meditate for some time in peaceful vibes.
