Bhawani Rao Bohra Temple was, originally, the residence of Bhawani Rao Bohra, who, on being informed that the construction of his house being superb had caught the fancy of Maharaja Pratapsingh, converted his house into a temple by having placed an image of Lord Shiva in the middle of the hall and by erecting a chhatri over it. This chhatri is very beautifully executed. Bhawani Rao Bohra temple at Ghat has its assembling hall, called Jagmohan, measures 24 square feet. It has perforated screen and other beautiful architectural details executed in it. The latticed work in the Chunam screen of the pavillion at one time presented an appearance of marble work in it. The knots of the stem and the folds of the leaves in the carved creeper over the pavillion stand out boldly against the hues of delineation. The lofty pillars of the central hall have, at the base, nicely carved pitchers (Amritghats), which are ribbed all round in typical Hindu style. Carved windows, polygonal balconies and niches, domes, ribbed from above and painted with lotus from inside are some of the special features of the building.
