Our representative will greet you at the airport and ensure transfer to the hotel. Getting refreshed, proceed on for Sarnath tour with Varanasi tour guide. Sarnath, a Buddhist pilgrimage, is known for Buddhist era (6 century BC) & Mauryan time monasteries and stupas, razed by the intolerant Muslims. Sarnath also has a museum where you will find historically, culturally and sculpturally important artefacts. It was Sarnath where Buddha delivered his first sermon. Visit the archaeological museum which includes magnificent sculptures including the famous pillar of Ashoka, symbol of India.
Late afternoon, after visiting Sarnath, proceed for attending Ganga Arti ceremony at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi. Board a boat to see the ceremony of Aarti while floating in the Ganges. At sunset, the pilgrims pay tribute to the gods by letting innumerable lamps/candles float on the river. Later return to hotel for overnight stay.
