Mussoorie sightseeing
Enjoy scrumptious breakfast in the hotel and proceed on for a full day sightseeing of Mussoorie. Major tourist attractions in Mussoorie to be visited are Kempty Falls, Gun Hill, Lal Tibba, Company Garden & Camel’s Back Road (by walk). Kempty Falls, the largest and most beautiful waterfall, is situated in beautiful valley at a height of 4500 feet & 15 km away from Mussoorie on Yamunotri Road. The waterfall is surrounded by high mountains all around. Bathing under it is a favourite pastime. The water from Kempty Waterfalls flows in five different streams, which remains a center of attraction for tourists. Gun Hill, the second highest peak of Mussoorie, can be reached either by a 400 meter long ropeway or by 20 minute walk. Gun Hill is famous for offering spectacular views of Mussoorie and Doon valley.During pre-independence years, the cannon placed on this hill was fired daily in the afternoon so that people could set their clocks, hence the place was named Gun Hill. The 3 km long Camel's Back Road starts from Kulri Bazaar and ends by going to the Library Bazaar. It is nice to walk or have a horse ride on this road. The present Company Garden or Municipal Garden of Mussoorie was called Botanical Garden till independence. The world famous geologist Dr. H. Fakanar Logi transformed the area into a beautiful garden in 1842. Later, it was being looked after by the company administration and hence it came to be called Company Garden or Municipal Garden.
In the evening, stroll on Mall Road, the most happening place in Mussoorie. Mall Road of Mussoorie runs from Picture Palace in the east to the Public Library in the west. There are shops of all kinds of goods ranging from food to drink, which attract tourists. After exploring Mall Road, return to hotel to enjoy the facilities and have overnight stay.
