Bhubaneswar - Konark - Puri
After breakfast in the hotel, checkout from the hotel and proceed towards Morning after Breakfast guests will proceed to Puri. On the way visit, Konark, Visit Ramachandi Temple, Chandrabhaga Beach and Konark Temple.
Ramachandi Temple, located on the banks of the Kusabhadra River near Konark, is dedicated to Goddess Ramachandi, a form of Goddess Durga. This serene temple is a pilgrimage spot. The faithful believe the goddess to be the guardian deity of Konark, blessing the region and its people.
Chandrabhaga Beach, near the Konark Sun Temple, is a pristine, sandy stretch along the Bay of Bengal, famed for its scenic sunsets and spiritual significance. It is revered as a pilgrimage site, where the Chandrabhaga fair is held annually.
Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an architectural masterpiece dedicated to the Sun God. Built in the 13th century, the temple is shaped like a colossal chariot with intricately carved stone wheels and horses. Known for its stunning sculptures and erotic art, it exemplifies Kalinga architecture. Though partly in ruins, Konark remains a symbol of India’s artistic heritage and attracts thousands of admirers worldwide.
Hereinafter, drive towards Puri. After an hour-long drive, reach Puri. Puri, a coastal town in Odisha, is famous for the sacred Jagannath Temple and vibrant Rath Yatra festival, drawing millions of devotees each year. Known as one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites, Puri combines spiritual depth with scenic beauty, thanks to its golden beaches along the Bay of Bengal. The town’s lively markets, traditional art, and beachside charm make it a popular destination for both pilgrims and tourists seeking a blend of culture and relaxation.
On arrival in Puri, check in at the hotel. Relax for a while and later proceed to visit Shri Jagannath Temple. It is an iconic 12th-century temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a form of Lord Vishnu. Known for its distinct architecture, it stands as one of Hinduism’s holiest Char Dham pilgrimage sites. The annual Rath Yatra starts from here. With its towering spire and spiritual aura, Jagannath Temple embodies profound devotion and cultural heritage, making it a revered symbol in Indian spirituality.
After doing ‘darshan’ and attending ‘aarti’, return to hotel to spend some time on sea beach or in leisure in the hotel. Overnight stay is scheduled in the Puri hotel.
