The most famous festivals called Janmashtami and St Lawrence Day are the two major festivals held annually in the Dona Paula beach. During the holidays, the colored water sports festivals simply attract your attention. Apart from these, you can also be a part of exciting events such as cycle races, water scooter and surfing.
Goa is known for partying and festivals and fairs give opportunity to party with religious and cultural fervor. It can be observed in the celebration of several Christian festivals in Goa with much gusto. These include the Feast of Three Kings, Feast of our Lady of Miracles, Feast of St Anthony, and Feast of St Francis Xavier. The largest non-religious celebration is the Carnival, marked by colorful processions complete with floats.
Janmashtami and Deepawali are also celebrated across Goa with religious fervor. Holi and Rakshabandhan is also observed by some.
