Visiting Goa in Winter Season (October to February): Though the tourist season in Goa starts from October and lasts till April but the best time to visit the beach state of India is December to February. The weather remains mild and humidity level at its lowest. The month of December is a very good time, because Goa being a Catholic State, there are Christmas decorations everywhere. In February, there is the Carnival of Goa and it is very nice to attend the parade (check the dates because they change every year). The daytime temperature will range between 20°C and 32°C. Major chunk of foreign tourists visiting Goa prefer winter season.
Visiting Goa in Monsoon Season (July to September): It is the rainy season from July to September in Goa. The season is marked with low temperature, high humidity and intermittent rain. The whole landscape seemingly gets draped into green. A festival known as Sao Joao is celebrated during Monsoon season in Goa. The hotel tariffs remain relatively low and weather condition suitable to enjoy and explore Goa. Monsoon tourism is gaining ground these days.
Visiting Goa in Summer Season (March to June): From March the temperature starts rising but till April it remains pleasurable. The number of tourists starts receding and hotel rates drop sharply. As a result, Goa becomes a preferred destination for budget conscious beach lovers during March & April. But, during May and June, when the temperature reaches up to 40°C, a traveler is suggested not to include Goa in his/her itinerary. If a tourist visits Goa in these two months, it is advised to explore beaches and other attractions in Goa in the morning and evening hours.
