Tourist Attractions in Panchmarhi

Panchmarhi is a hill station of Madhya Pradesh. Though most of the tourists flock here to enjoy scenic beauty, calm & peaceful ambience, healthy weather, dense and diverse flora & fauna etc but for many it’s a historical place containing traces of the earliest settlement of humans here. Panchmarhi is home to several monuments, caves, museums, falls and lakes. In addition to major tourist attractions, Gupta Mahadeo, Indira Priyadarshini Point, Dutches Falls, Rajender Giri, Rajat Paratap, Sunder-Kund, Handi Khoh, Apsosa Vihar, Forestry Museum and Roman Catholic Church are also worth seeing.

Visit Priyadarshini (Forsyth Point) from where Captain Forsyth was first discovered Pachmarhi in 1857. There are beautiful resort, churches and colonial buildings to tourists. If you are on family vacation, visit Apsara Vihar, also known as "The Magic Basin" to spend leisure time with family and friends near the natural pool at the base of the fall. You can also go trekking in the Panchmarhi Mountains.

For a spiritual experience you can visit Mahadeo, which is considered a religious place with a holy place that has an idol of Lord Shiva and beautiful Shivlinga. Also, there are many cave shelters that feature incredible rock paintings, almost 10,000 years old. You trip to Panchmarhi is actually incomplete if you do not visit Pandav Caves, which is named as the monument protected by the Archaeological Study of India.
