The museum was founded in 1915 and is located outside the Garh Palace. It is one of the oldest museums of Rajasthan. It houses rare manuscripts, paintings, coins, sculptures and statues of different gods and goddesses. Inscriptions from the 5th and 7th centuries can also be viewed here. Most of the god figures found in nearby ruins have been displayed here. The museum's Ardhnarishvara Natraj has already been exhibited in Moscow. The museum opens between 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. It remains closed on Friday and remains open for free entry on Monday.
