Manikaran is the pilgrimage centre for both Sikhs and Hindus. For Hindus religion, it is a sacred place for them as the first form of human life had created in the Manikaran after the legendary floods. This town is famous because it has a Gurudwara called Manikaran Sahib. Moreover, it has a Parvati valley, the largest valley in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, a state in India. The Parvati valley is about 90 kms long and is spread over 1085 sq kms area. Besides it, there are numerous small temples in Manikaran making it an imperative pilgrimage centre for Hindus too. For Sikh religion, Manikaran is a pilgrimage because of first guru of the Sikh had visited this place with his five disciples. The Gurudwara at Manikaran is a well-visited place. It is a highly revered centre for worship amongst Sikhs. The ‘langar’ (free kitchen) at Gurudwara serves free food to disciples and the needy.

Manikaran attracts tourists not only because of holy attractions but also for the scenic beauty and hot springs which can’t be visualized in other places. Manikaran as a pilgrim centre has many famous attractions to explore over there. Some of them include Kulant Pith, Hot Spring, Lord Shiva Temple, Sri Guru Nanak Devji Gurudwara, Parvati River and Harinder Mountains etc. Manikaran is famous for its natural hot springs. Tourist comes from all around the world to take a dip in hot springs to heal their diseases. The Kulant Pith at Manikaran is one of the most scared piths in India. It is believed that Lord Shankar stayed there for a long time. It has Vishnu Kund which is considered the purest kund where one can relieve all his sins. The Lord Shiva Temple at Manikaran is again an amazing tourist attraction. It is a place where Lord Shiva came along with his wife (Goddess Parvati) and had stayed over there for 1100 years. Moreover, Manikaran is enclosed by the Harinder Mountain. These snowcapped mountains turn the Manikaran into an eye-grabbing look. In brief, Manikaran is the perfect holiday destination.
