Day 1

Arrival at Bangalore

Bangluru the capital city of south Indian state of Karnataka, welcomes you in India with open arms and traditional charm. Our representative will receive you at Bangaluru airport and take you to Bangaluru hotel. Owing to long journey, you require sumptuous relaxation to come out of jet-lag and fatigue. Have overnight stay in Bangaluru hotel.

Day 2

Bangaluru sightseeing tour

The 2nd day of South India Wildlife Safari Tour is reserved for sightseeing of Bangaluru, presently the capital of Karnataka. Bangaluru is these days known as ‘Information Technology Capital or Silicon Valley of India’. With its modern infrastructure, Bangaluru offers opportunity to explore golden ancient past of Bangaluru, founded by Kempe Gowda in 1537. Bangalore Fort, Summer Palace of Tipu Sultan, Bull Temple, Vidhana Soudh and Brain Museum etc. are worth visiting places. Bangaluru tour guide will accompany you during the city sightseeing tour. Having seen various monuments and enjoying cultural niceties of Bangaluru, return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3

Bangaluru- Mysuru

Today, you will be departing for Mysuru, a historical city and popularly called as cultural capital of Karnataka. Having enjoyed scrumptious breakfast in Bangaluru hotel, drive to Mysuru. On the way to Mysuru, have short duration stop-over at Srirangapattana, known for ruins of fort, Tipu Sultan Palace and Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple. Explore the rich cultural and architectural heritage of Karnataka. After almost an hour of sightseeing of Srirangapattana, proceed for Mysuru. On arrival at Mysuru, you will be directly transferred to Mysuru hotel. Check in at the hotel, relax a bit and sally out to explore majestic monuments, beautiful temples and colourful ethnic market of Mysuru. Sightseeing tour primarily includes Mysuru Palace, Chamundi Temple, and fragrance market. Later in the evening, return to Mysuru hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4

Mysuru- Nagarhole National Park - Game Drive

Having enjoyed scrumptious breakfast in Mysuru hotel, depart for Nagarhole National Park. Nagarhole National Park, spread in Kodagu and Mysuru districts of Karnataka, has been selected in 1999 as 37th wildlife sanctuary appropriate for Project Tiger. Nagarhole wildlife sanctuary in the past had been hunting ground of Wodyar kings of Mysuru. On arrival at Nagarhole, you will be transferred to the pre-booked jungle resort. Check in at the resort with welcome drink. Spend the day in leisure. Late afternoon, you will be taken on afternoon game drive at 3 pm. The evening game drive is of two hours. The jeep safaris can be availed either on forest department jeeps or hotel jeeps or private jeeps. Return to resort after having explored rich wildlife of the Nagarhole National Park, with over 250 types of birds, elephants, sloth bear, bison, tiger, leopards, deer, and wild boars. Nagarhole is the only wildlife sanctuary that is open even in monsoon. Overnight stay has been planned in the jungle resort.

Day 5

Game Drives in Nagarhole National Park

The 2nd day in Nagarhole National Park is reserved for two game drives- morning and evening. Morning safari is of three hours i.e. 6 am to 9 am. After morning safari, return to jungle resort, refresh and have sumptuous breakfast. Spend morning in leisure. In the noon have delicious lunch and have rest. After relaxing a bit, move again to explore vivid wildlife on evening game drive. You can opt for an elephant ride as well. After visiting deeper reaches of the forest, return to wildlife resort for overnight stay.

Day 6

Nagarhole National Park- Bandipur National Park

Today, after enjoying delicious breakfast in Nagarhole National Park, depart for Bandipur National Park, spread over 874 sq kms. Erstwhile hunting ground of the Maharajas of Wodyar dynasty of Mysuru, Bandipur National Park is a part of Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. A four hours long journey on curvaceous hilly terrain takes you to Bandipur wildlife sanctuary. On arrival, check in at the pre-booked jungle resort with welcome drink. Dry deciduous jungle predominantly characterizes Bandipur National Park’s biome. In 1974, Bandipur was brought under Project Tiger. Bandipur is located in Gundlupet taluq of Chamarajanagar district. Spend the day and evening in leisure and have overnight stay in Bandipur resort.

Day 7

Game Drives in Bandipur National Park

The 2nd day in Bandipur National Park is reserved for two game drives, one in the morning hours and another in afternoon. The jeeps are available on hire inside the park. Topless vans or canters are also available to go around seeing the park. Elephant safari in Bandipur National Park is a much sought after exciting feature. The Bandipur Mudumalai elephant safari includes a 10 minute ride on the elephant in Bandipur. The tickets for these elephant safaris can be availed from Ooty and Mudumalai Theppakadu reception counter. The tickets are distributed on first come first serve basis. Maximum four persons are allowed on one elephant. A unique feature of Bandipur National Park is that there are four slots of daily safaris. Morning: First trip 6.30 AM to 8 AM / Second trip: 8 AM to 9.30 AM; Evening: First trip: 3.30 PM to 5 PM / Second trip: 5 PM to 6.30 PM. Overnight stay has been scheduled in Bandipur National Park resort.

Day 8

Bandipur National Park- Ooty

After Bandipur national Park, your next destination on South India Wildlife Safari Tour is Ooty, the only hill station of Tamil Nadu. Though Ooty is merely 80 kms from Bandipur but hilly terrain makes to cover this distance in about four hours. Have delicious and fresh breakfast in jungle resort and proceed for Ooty. Located at an altitude of 2240 meter, Ooty had been summer and weekend getaway for the Britishers during colonial era. Pleasant weather, scenic beauty, calm ambience and ‘old world charm’ attract tourists to Ooty in significant number but a journey on ‘Nilgiri Toy Train’, which runs between Mettupalayam and Ooty, is an unforgettable lifetime experience. Nilgiri Toy Train wends its way through many hair-raising curves and fearful tunnels and chugs along beside deep ravines full of verdant vegetation, gurgling streams and tea gardens. On arrival at Ooty, you will be transferred to the pre-booked Ooty hotel. Now the day is free to explore various aspects of Ooty in leisure. Overnight stay has been scheduled in Ooty hotel.

Day 9

Ooty-Munnar

After relaxed breakfast in Ooty hotel, check out to proceed for Munnar, a hill station of Kerala. Munnar is famous for its tea plantations, Kalaripayattu school and Eravikulam National Park. On arrival at Munnar, check in at Munnar hotel. Spend the day in leisure and have overnight stay in Munnar hotel.

Day 10

Munnar / Eravikulam sightseeing

Having taken delectable breakfast in Munnar hotel, enjoy a trip to Eravikulam National Park. The park is natural habitat of endangered goat species-Nilgiri Tahr. Having explored the rich bio-diversity of Eravikulam National Park, proceed to Echo Point and thereafter to old Munnar town. Visit Tata Tea Museum and lush green landscape of tea plantation. Later in the evening return to Munnar hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11

Munnar- Thekkady - Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary

After delicious breakfast in Munnar hotel, push off for Thekkady, the entrance town of Periyar Wildlife Santuary. Thekkady is famous for spice plantations. On arrival in Thekkady, you will be transferred to pre-booked Thekkady hotel. Spend the day in leisure, enjoying calm and serene environment. Late afternoon, you will be taken to attend Kalaripayattu school. Kalaripayattu is an ancient martial art and modern day Judo, Karate, Kung Fu etc have been derived from Kalaripayattu. After watching the zenith of martial art and learning one or two movements, return to Thekkady hotel for overnight stay.

Day 12

Boat cruise & elephant ride in Thekkady

Have delectable and fresh breakfast in Thekkady hotel and proceed for exploring wildlife of Periyar National Park. Enjoy an exciting and unforgettable morning and evening boat cruise in the beautiful Periyar Lake inside the sanctuary to see the herds of wild elephants pleasing themselves in the lake. The spectacular view of the lake and its surroundings never fails to enchant its visitors. You can also enjoy spotting a wide variety of exotic and colorful birds-both Indian and migratory. Late afternoon, before boat cruise in the Periyar Lake, you will be having elephant right which will take you inside the thick of the forest. After all these activities, return to Thekkady hotel for overnight stay.

Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary – Kumarakom

Enjoying scrumptious breakfast in jungle resort, check out and start your journey to next fabulous tourist destination of Kerala, Kumarakom. Kumarakom, inhabited on the reclaimed land from Vembanad Lake, is known for a bird sanctuary that nestles Indian and migratory birds. The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is on an island in Vembanad Lake. Other than bird sanctuary, Kumarakom has emerged as one of the most sought after tourist destination due to its scenic beauty, houseboat stay and cruise in backwaters and proliferating industry of Ayurvedic massage. Kumarakom is the perfect place for a leisure and birding tour. On arrival at Kumarakom, check in at Kumarakom resort to spend the day in leisure and bird spotting. Day 14

Kumarakom – Cochin - Kochi sightseeing - Departure

Having relished delectable dishes at breakfast in Kumarakom resort, commence your journey to Cochin, the commercial capital of Kerala. Kochi, better known as ‘Queen of Arabian Sea’ and ‘World’s Spice Market’ is a historical and cultural city. Various historical monuments, colonies and practices are vestiges of glorious, religio usly tolerant value system and business-friendly atmosphere. On arrival at Cochin, you will be introduced with Kochi tour guide who will take you on a full day sightseeing tour. The daylong sightseeing tour of Cochin will include famous Chinese fishing nets,Jewis Synagogue, Fort Kochi, Saint Francis Church and spice market. Later, you will be transferred to city airport to board flight for your onward destination with sweet memories of India.
