Meera Temple

Meera Temple is the temple in which Meera Bai worshipped her Giridhar, a name of Krishna. A picture of the image she worshipped is seen here. Meera was born in the village of Kurki near Merta to Ratan Singh Rathors, and was married to Bhojraj son of Rana Sanga of Mewar. Legend says he ingested venom set by Vikramaditya but nothing happened due to Lord Krishna's blessings.
