The curator explains the objects displayed to parties of students and others visiting the museum. There are trilingual labels provided for the exhibits in Punjabi, Hindi and English. The museum is suitably located in the town of Amritsar which is a tourist spot and attracts a large number of visitors. It is visited by a large number of visitors. The number of the visitors swell manyfold on Sundays, Amavasya, Poornima, festivals and Guruparv days. Over the years, keeping in view the new finds, researches, periodicals and journals etc, the museum has been expanded. The collections in the museum are mainly through purchases and donations.
