Unique & most sublime view of Taj Mahal.

Observing Taj Mahal view in full moonlight is one of the rare opportunities to behold an ‘epitome of love’ in most serene ambience. One of the ‘Seven Wonders of the World’, Taj Mahal looks breathtakingly enchanting during night, especially full moon night. Specialized Taj Mahal Full Moonlight Tour is organized by travel companies to cater to the wish of the tourists. Its architectural beauty is based on a rhythmic combination of solids and voids, concave and convex elements & shadows and lights. Arches and cupolas too enhance Taj Mahal’s aesthetic appearance. Beautiful green gardens, bordered by reddish-hued alleys under glimmering dark sky during full moonlight, highlight constant changes in tones and nuances that the monument reflects. It is a worldwide known fact that Mughal ruler Shah Jahan, in loving memory of his wife Mumtaj Mahal, built Taj Mahal, an epitome of love. The corpses of Mumtaj Mahal and Shah Jahan are buried inside it. The monument is made of strikingly beautiful white marbles of Makrana. The marble sculptures inlaid with precious and semi-precious stones give the building its originality. A lesser known fact about Taj Mahal is that approximately 32 million rupees were spent, costing about $1 billion in today’s time. The stones to construct Taj Mahal were sourced from several countries like China, Tibet, Sri Lanka and different parts of India too. In order to transport the construction materials, almost 1000 elephants were employed. The four minarets or pillars, standing on each corner of the mausoleum, are not straight but constructed in forward way to protect the main ‘gumbad’ of the monument during natural calamities. If not situated at the banks of River Yamuna, Taj Mahal would have collapsed as the structure is erected on Mahogany woods base. This peculiar wood is required to be drenched perennially. The calligraphy on the walls of Taj Mahal was taken from Quran. The tomb also contains 99 different names of Allah in the form of inscriptions. Taj Mahal in Agra is even taller than Qutub Minar. Another relevant and useful fact about Taj Mahal is that it remains closed on Fridays since ‘namaz’ is conducted in the premises. Optima Travels organizes Taj Mahal Full Moonlight Tour to pacify the craving of tourists to view the sublime beauty of the white marble monument- Taj Mahal.
