since Palaeolithic era. The rock arts and paintings, dating back to 35,000 to 40,000 years ago, have been found in the Jurreru Valley, Katavani Kunta and Yaganti of Kurnool
district. The Ketavaram rock paintings are dated back to the Paleolithic era.
