over a period of 22 years by 20,000 craftsmen. The historic building is located on the bank of the Yamuna River.
The Taj Mahal is a symbol of love in today's age. An artistic masterpiece of white marble of Makrana had been embellished
with several precious stones like jade, crystal, turquoise, lapis-lazuli, sapphire, coral and diamonds. A visit to
Taj Mahal will remind you of beauty and architecture of the glorious era of the Mughal.
After spending about two-hours in Taj Mahal, proceed on for visiting another tourist attraction- Agra Fort, a sandstone-built fortress which served as a prison too for Shah Jahan. Shah Jahan was confined by his own son, Aurangzeb. Near the Taj stands the Red Fort of the treasury house of the Mughal architecture. It is located 1.5 km from the Taj Mahal. The construction of the massive fortress began during the reign of Akbar and was completed by Shah Jahan, Akbar's grandson. Moti Masjid, Diwan-I-Aam, Diwani-I-Khas and Musanman Burj are the most wonderful structures of Agra Fort. The fort contains magnificent mosques and palaces in red sandstone and white marble. Agra Fort is a masterpiece of design and construction.
After exploring Agra Fort for about an hour, you shall be taken to multi-cuisine restaurant for having salubrious breakfast / brunch.
Around 11:00 AM, proceed on for Mehtab Bagh. It is a beautiful Mughal Garden located across River Yamuna. This garden is a highly popular tourist destination among photography connoisseurs to capture beauty of Taj Mahal from different angles. Spread over 25 acres of land and built by Babur, Mehtab Bagh is a park designed on Charbagh style.This impressive complex is located in front of the Taj Mahal and allows you to have a breathtaking view of the mausoleum. It is from this place that most of the photographs of the Taj Mahal are taken. Mehtab Bagh or Moon Garden is arranged in symmetry with Taj Mahal's original planning. The garden has got its name due to the fact that Mehtab Bagh is the place from where one can see the most beautiful facets of Taj Mahal in moonlight.
Around 12:00 PM, drive back to New Delhi. After three hours of drive, reach Delhi and as per your stay or departure schedule, you will be transferred to either hotel of stay in Delhi/Gurugram/Noida or airport.
