Mumbai Goa Tour

Arrival at Mumbai International Airport. After passing the immigration formalities and collecting your luggage, our representative will welcome you at the front of the arrival terminal. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay has been planned at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, move on a guided tour of Mumbai. The sightseeing tour will include Dhobi Ghat, Prince of Wales Museum, Mani Bhawan, Gateway of India and Marine Drive. Built in the Indo-Sarsanic style in 1905 in honor of the Prince of Wales, the future George V, the Prince of Wales Museum houses objects collected from Elephanta Island, Jogeshwari caves and collections of sculptures, miniatures and portraits from Indus civilization as well. Mani Bhawan is the house that Gandhi occupied during his visits to Mumbai. It houses a memorial and a museum where you can see photos of the Mahatma and the objects that belonged to him. 26m high, Gateway of India, a basalt monument in the shape of an arch, was built in 1911 on the shore to celebrate the arrival of King George V and Queen Mary in India. It was inaugurated in 1924. Today the Gate of India remains one of the main centers of attraction of Mumbai. Marine Drive is also a popular beachfront promenade. It starts from Nariman Point, runs along Chowpatty Beach and ends in the Malabar Hill’s neighborhood. This is where you get the best views of the bay of Mumbai. The rounded form of Marine Drive earned it the nickname "queen's necklace" because of the streetlights that illuminate it at sunset. After exploring Mumbai, return to Mumbai hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for the visit of the ELEPHANTA ISLAND. The island is 10 km from the shores of Mumbai. It is known for its rock temples dug in the rock between 450 AD and 750 AD. The Portuguese seriously damaged the sculptures. The main cave contains representations of Shiva and a lingam. The most impressive statue is that of the Trimurti (the Hindu holy trinity: Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu). Afternoon return to Mumbai and you will be transferred to the airport to board flight for Goa. On arrival, you will be transferred to Goa hotel for leisure and have overnight stay.

Have breakfast at the hotel. Day has been kept day free for the discovery of the city at your own pace. Goa is a state that forms a 100 km coastal strip at the edge of the Arabian Sea. A Portuguese enclave until 1961, Goa is essentially famous for its 120 beaches: a small paradise of white sand, bordered by coconut trees, green rice fields and flower gardens. Churches and houses with covered walls testify to the Portuguese presence, although Hindus are now largely a majority in Goa. The State, long a destination in vogue among the hippies, always attracts alternative backpackers, much more trendy raves and techno today. Goa is famous for the intense green of the vegetation, the fine sand, the crystalline waters, the traditional huts and the susegad (derived from Portuguese which can be translated as "nonchalance"). Have breakfast in the hotel. Day has been kept free for your beach leisure, beach activities and discovery of the city at your own pace. Treading hot sand is not the only pleasure. Goa, a small state, is beautiful, rich in beaches and heritage and relaxingly quiet: Go for bird watching in a forest full of butterflies. Gaze at centuries-old cathedrals. Venture out to the white waterfalls or stroll through the charming alleys of the capital.
