The landed gentry of Samode was devoted to the Maharaja of Amber and Jaipur and held important ministerial posts. As loyal warriors and servants they have been awarded the hereditary title “Rawal Saheb ". Samode Palace has been converted into a luxury heritage hotel.

Since Samode is secluded a little even by Indian standards, several national and international events were organized to create awareness. Many national & international film companies discovered the palace as an ideal film-setting and helped it during the restoration of the painted halls. Once past the imposing stairways, one arrives in a furnished courtyard. Viewed spatially, Samode Palace is a succession of several courtyards of increasing height and splendor.
