On arrival at Cochin (Kochi) airport, directly drive to Munnar. Munnar is located at 1600 meters above sea level and the second highest peak in southern India. After four hours of drive, reach Munnar & check in at the hotel. The day has been kept free and for nature’s walk. Overnight stay is scheduled in Munnar hotel.

After breakfast, move ahead for leisurely and thorough exploration of Munnar and its surroundings. Visit Eravikulam National Park, the best place to see Nilgiri Thar (Hermitragus Hylcrious) - the mountain goat of South India. Visit Mattupatty Dam. Visit the tea plantations where lush green valley is a delight to the eye. During the course of sightseeing, visiting Tea Museum will be a nice experience. Late afternoon, return to hotel to spend rest of the day in leisure and have overnight stay.

After delicious breakfast, depart for Periyar / Thekkady. Periyar Nature Reserve, one of the largest wildlife reserves in India, occupies 777 Sq Kms of the cardamom hills region of the Western Ghats. Periyar, named after Periyar River, is one of best rated and kept wildlife sanctuaries in India. The fauna includes elephants, gaur, wild dogs, otters, freshwater turtles and bird species, such as heroin, kingfisher, hornbill etc. Water bodies with large variety of fish can be seen here. On arrival, check in at pre-reserved hotel / resort. After a short break, continue for wildlife exploration. The best way is to have a boat cruise on Periyar Lake, inside the wildlife sanctuary, while observing flora and fauna of the sanctuary. Later, in the evening, return to the resort / hotel for overnight stay.

Periyar wildlife sanctuary offers diverse flora and fauna. Variety of wildlife, including wild elephants, monkeys, deer, wild boars and various species of birds can be spotted. After breakfast, the day will be devoted to leisurely activities. A jeep safari or an elephant safari will take place giving you a glimpse of beautiful spice plantations, along with floral and faunal diversity. Spend the afternoon in leisure. Late afternoon and evening can be utilized by getting engaged in viewing various cultural shows. Depending upon your interest and choice, you can watch ancient martial art called Kalaripayattu, invented and developed by Sage Parashuram and spread by Buddhist monks to East Asian countries to be known in future as Judo & Karate. You also have option of watching Kathakali performance. The resorts of Thekkady / Periyar are across the globe known for Ayurvedic rejuvenation therapy/ massage. Jeep/ elephant safari, Kathakali dance show or Kalaripayattu rehearsal can be booked on additional cost. Overnight stay is scheduled in Thekkady resort.

After breakfast in Thekkady resort, drive to Kumarakom. Kumarakom, situated on the banks of Lake Vembanad, is one of the best and most beautiful backwater tourist destinations in India, particularly Kerala. Kumarakom is a small town especially visited for its backwaters, "Bird Sanctuary" and responsible tourism. Kumarakom bird sanctuary is on an island in Lake Vembanad, Kerala's largest lake. It is a veritable labyrinth of canals and small lagoons, a paradise for shrimps, crabs, ducks, herons and even storks from Siberia. The place is ideal to sail through backwaters, amid mangroves, paddy fields and coconut plantations. On arrival at Kumarakom, you will be directly transferred to the pre-booked resort/ hotel. The whole day has been kept for leisure activities like hiring a ‘kettuvalam’ to sail through to reach Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary or lazing on lakeside to watch beautiful sunset or Ayurvedic massage. Overnight stay is scheduled to be in Kumarakom hotel.

After scrumptious breakfast in Kumarakom hotel, you will be transferred to board houseboat in Alleppey. Alleppey is also known as the Venice of the East, due to the narrow canals and backwaters. Staying in houseboat, a floating thatched palace, in motion is incredibly out of the world experience. While navigating through the canals you can see different scenes of the villages, rice fields, coconut trees, fishermen and local life. Lunch, dinner and breakfast next day will be provided on the houseboat. The cool breeze from the lake makes you feel relaxed and at night after anchoring in an elegant place dinner will be served. Overnight stay is scheduled in the houseboat.

After breakfast in houseboat in Alleppey, you will drive to Cochin. It takes about two hours to reach Cochin. On arrival at Cochin, you will be met by Kochi guide who will take you to show San Francisco Church, Chinese fishing nets, Jewish synagogue & Dutch Palace. Late afternoon, you will be transferred to either airport or railway station to proceed for your onward destination.
