Day 2

Old & New Delhi Sightseeing Tour

Full day guided sightseeing tour of Delhi will include Red Fort, Jama Mosque and Chandani Chowk in old Delhi & Raj Ghat , India Gate, Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, Akshardham Temple and Qutub Minar in New Delhi. While visiting famous monuments of Delhi, explore during the course several shopping clusters. After sightseeing tour of Delhi, return to Delhi hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3

Delhi - Varanasi (By Flight)- Sarnath sightseeing

After breakfast, you will be transferred to New Delhi airport to catch Varanasi-bound flight. On arrival at Varanasi, our representative will receive you at the airport and give transfer to the hotel to unwind and relax a bit. Proceed on a guided tour of Sarnath, one of the four Buddhist pilgrimages, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon and initiated Buddhism- Dharmachakrapravartana. Remnants of more than 2000 years old monastery, comprising stupas, Ashoka Pillar, chaitya & viharas, will introduce you with high level of culture and civilization that flourished in India. You shall be visiting a well-kept museum here. Hereinafter, along with guide, proceed to attend splendid and magnanimous Ganges Worship Ceremony (called Ganga Aarti) on Dashashwamedh Ghat of Varanasi. Ganga is worshipped by the Hindus as mother and a goddess. After visiting Sarnath and enjoying Ganga Aarti, return to Varanasi hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4

Varanasi Ghats & Temples Tour

Very early in the morning, the tour guide will take you to the banks of Ganga to board a boat to sail along the ghats of Varanasi (morning ghats tour on boat) to have glimpses of the culture, religious practices, routine & activities of the people of Varanasi and faith in the divine river. At the time of sunrise, ghats of Varanasi get lively and become true podia displaying vital aspects of lifestyle of the people of Varanasi. After ghats tour of Varanasi, heritage walk into the centuries old alleys will take place. It’s an excellent way to see and experience real Varanasi. Here, you will be able to see Vishwanath Temple (from outside) and Annapurna Devi temple. Return to hotel after boat cruise to freshen up and have breakfast. Later, proceed on for guided sightseeing tour of Varanasi comprising visit to Tulsi Manas Temple, BHU, Durga Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple & Bharat Mata Temple. Later in the evening, explore local market for picking ethnic articles. After visiting Ghats, temples and market of Varanasi, return to Varanasi hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5

Varanasi-Khajuraho (By Flight)

Today you will fly for Khajuraho, erstwhile capital of Chandela rulers. You will be greeted at Khajuraho airport by our representative and transferred to the designated hotel. Having relaxed a bit, proceed on a guided tour of the temples of Khajuraho, known for sophisticated sculpture and architecture. These temples have been segregated into three groups – Western, Eastern & Southern. In the evening, enjoy either cultural show or sound & light show. Later in the evening, return to Khajuraho hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6

Khajuraho-Orchha- Jhansi-Agra (By Car & Train)

Having breakfast, depart for Jhansi by car. On the way, visit ancient town of Orchha known for its historical and architectural monuments. On arrival at Orchha, visit Orchha Fort, Raja Ram Temple and Jahangir Palace. Thereafter have lunch in restaurant on the bank of the river Betwa. In time, you will be transferred to Jhansi railway station to board Agra-bound train to reach the seat of Taj Mahal. On arrival at Agra, you will be received and transferred to the hotel for overnight stay in Agra.

Day 7

Agra sightseeing

The whole day is reserved for guided sightseeing tour of Agra. Taj Mahal will be shown to you at the time of sunrise when it looks stunningly beautiful. After breakfast and getting freshened up, visit Agra Fort and It Mad ud Daulah. Post-lunch, explore local market as shopping in Agra is a pleasant experience. Late

afternoon, visit Mehtab Bagh across Yamuna to view Taj Mahal at the time of sunset. After full day sightseeing of monuments and markets of Agra, return to Agra hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8

Agra - Fatehpur Sikri- Abhaneri - Jaipur

After breakfast, depart for Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri was built by Akbar as secretariat but evacuated after 15 years due to paucity of potable water. Finely preserved monuments like Jama Masjid, Buland Darwaja, Panch Mahal, Jodha Bai Palace, Birbal Bhawan and Shrine of a Sufi saint Salim Chishti are worth watching. Hereinafter, continue your drive to Jaipur. About 77 kms prior Jaipur, an ancient village named Abhaneri is located. You will be taken to Abhaneri to visit Chand Baori & Harshat Mata Temple. Again drive to Jaipur. On arrival at Jaipur, you will be received by our representative to ensure smooth check in at Jaipur hotel.

Day 9

Jaipur Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed on Jaipur city tour. Take an excursion to Amber Fort. Enjoy an elephant ride. On the back of a caparisoned elephant, you will be taken from ground to the main gate of Amber Fort at the hill top. After visiting Amber Fort, you will be taken to other famous monuments of Jaipur- Jal Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). Early evening, move to the bustling market of Jaipur. After visiting famous monuments of Jaipur and exploring vibrant and bustling local market known for handicraft products namely carpets, printed clothes and jewellery; return to Jaipur hotel for overnight stay.

Day 10

Jaipur – Bikaner

As a long distance has to be traversed and sightseeing has to be done in Bikaner, you are suggested to have breakfast early in the morning and check out from Jaipur hotel latest by 7 am. Now, drive to the Camel City – Bikaner, predominantly famous for its stunning havelis, Lalgarh Palace, Junagarh Fort and Karni Mata Temple. Upon arrival in Bikaner, our representative will assist you to transfer to the designated hotel. You will be introduced with Bikaner tour guide in hotel lobby. He will take you for the sightseeing tour Bikaner, known for imposing palaces, largest camel research & breeding farm, richly sculptured temples, love for ‘dessert’ and affection for ‘desert’. Day 11

Bikaner – Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer, the westernmost border city of Rajasthan, India, is located amidst the Thar Desert. You will have to get up early in the morning to get refreshed and have breakfast. After early morning breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Jaisalmer. The journey to Jaisalmer with beautiful landscape of desert and villages is a long but memorable travel. Upon arrival at Jaisalmer, you will be transferred to hotel to spend evening in leisure and have overnight stay there.

Day 11

Jaisalmer sightseeing tour- desert stay

Jaisalmer, the Golden City of Rajasthan, has a lot to offer to the tourists who have traversed the westernmost frontier of India. Historical monuments of immense architectural worth like Golden Fort (Sonar Qila), intricately sculptured havelis (Nathmalji-ki-Haveli, Patwon -ki-Haveli, Salim Singh-ki-Haveli), Jain & Hindu temples and colourful market buzzing with artisans and buyers. Having delicious breakfast in Jaisalmer hotel, along with Jaisalmer tour guide, move on for sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer-Jodhpur

Soon after breakfast, drive towards Jodhpur. Having relaxed for some time in the hotel, proceed on a guided sightseeing tour of Jodhpur. Jodhpur is the cultural centre of the Marwar region of Rajasthan. Among many historical monuments, Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Ummed Bhawan Palace and Sadar Market are the prime attractions of the “blue City of Rajasthan’, Jodhpur. Jodhpur-Ranakpur -Udaipur

After taking breakfast, depart for Udaipur. On the way to Udaipur, visit Ranakpur Jain Temple, a masterpiece of art, architecture and sculpture. Later drive towards Udaipur. Evening in Udaipur is kept for relaxing leisurely in the hotel. Have overnight stay in Udaipur hotel.

Udaipur – Mumbai (by air)-Mumbai sightseeing

Commercial capital of Mumbai is home to historical monuments, museums and temples. There are many ancient rock-cut chapels and temples that take the antiquity of the region to even early before Christ era. After breakfast, board Mumbai-bound flight from Udaipur and get transferred to the designated hotel. Early noon, accompanied by a local guide, visit famous sites of Mumbai like Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum (closed on Mondays), Mani Bhawan, Hanging Garden and Chowpatty Beach. Also drive past Afghan Church, Flora Fountain (Bombay nerve-centre), colourful Crawford Market and Marine Drive. After visiting famous places of Mumbai, return to Mumbai hotel for overnight stay.

Day 16

Mumbai-Aurangabad (by air)-Ajanta (by car)- Ajanta sightseeing.

Early in the morning, board flight for Aurangabad, the base town to launch sightseeing tour for Ajanta & Ellora. Today on arrival at Aurangabad, you will be received by our representative and introduced with tour driver and Ajanta-Ellora tour guide. Directly from the airport, you will be driven to Ajanta, about 100 kms from Aurangabad. Ajanta caves are about 2000 years old and used be chaityas (chapels) of the Buddhist monks. Declared as UNESCO World Heritage site, these rock-cut caves are known across the globe for immaculate beautiful paintings, depicting the life of Gautam Buddha. Day 17

Aurangabad-Ellora- Ellora sightseeing- Bangalore (by air)

Ellora caves, 34 in numbers, are of latter period (600 AD-1000AD), compared to Ajanta. Ellora caves are home to Buddhist chapels and Hindu & Jain temples. Kailash Temple in Ellora is a feat of architectural finesse. Visit these ancient rock-cut temples in the company of a tour guide. Day 18

Bangalore sightseeing- Mysore

Have breakfast and check out from Bangalore hotel to proceed on for a sightseeing tour along with Bangalore tour guide. Bangalore, synonymous with India’s Information Technology, has two must-see tourist destinations. First,Palace of Tipu Sultan, made completely of wood, is an architectural specimen of two-storied military palace of 18th century. Second monument of importance is Bull Temple at Basavangudi. Mysore sightseeing

Known as ‘Sandalwood City’ and located 140 kms from Bangalore, Mysore is famous for world-renowned majestic palaces and several historical sites preserved to this day. Have breakfast in Mysore hotel and depart for sightseeing with Mysore tour guide. The prominent most monument in Mysore is Mysore Palace. Mysore Palace of Wodyar kings is built in Indo-Sarcenic style of architecture with domes, turrets, arches and colonnades, the palace is decorated with Hoysala style carvings. The palace was designed by Henry Irwin. The solid gold throne studded with jewels is put on display only during the Dussehra festival. A recent survey worldwide has claimed that Mysore Palace has been rated more beautiful and majestic that Buckingham Palace of United Kingdom. Chamundi Hills is a monolith in granite of 5 meter high Nandi beautifully carved with garlands and bells. Brindavan Gardens is the fabulous garden that stretch out in terraces below dam and change into an exotic fairyland with twinkling lights, swirling fountains and artificial waterfalls. A musical fountain dances to the tunes and harmony.

Mysore-Hassan - sightseeing tour of Belur & Halebid

Having enjoyed delicious breakfast in Mysore hotel, depart to Hassan, a modern district of Karnataka. On arrival at Hassan, check in at the pre-booked hotel. Hassan is a nodal place which serves as a convenient base to explore several interesting tourist places around. The places around Hassan like Halebid and Belur were prominent centres of Hoyasala rulers and, hence, possess even to this date the remnants of more than 150 ornately carved temples of 11th century, built in Chalukyan style of architecture characterized by a star shaped pedestal and one centered around a pillared hall. The walls and niches are filled with genius and delicate work.

Hassan city though has least of heritage but Belur (40 kms) and Halebid (20 kms) are extremely rich in terms of ancient monuments. After relaxing a bit Hassan hotel, proceed for visiting Belur and Halebid. Visit ancient and glorious monuments. Hassan-Sravanbelgola- Hassan

Having breakfast leisurely in Hassan hotel, proceed for Sravanbelgola, a Jain pilgrimage and about 60 kms away from Hassan. It takes about one and a half hour to reach there. It will be a nice exposure to Jain religion of India. After visiting Sravanbelgola, later in the afternoon, return to Hassan hotel for overnight stay.

Day 22

Hassan-Hospet

Have leisurely breakfast in Hassan hotel and depart for Hospet. Hospet, a modern city, serves as the originating centre of various excursions around to explore exceptionally rich heritage of Vijaynagar Empire. On arrival at Hospet, you will be directly transferred to Hospet hotel to relax in the evening and have overnight stay.

Hospet- Hampi-Hospet

After a relaxed breakfast in Hospet hotel, drive to Hampi. Karnataka has been land of several mighty empires and dynasties. Hoyasala dynasty and Vijayanagar Empire have been prominent among them. Halebid and Belur present the monumental heritage of Hoyasala Empire where as Hampi and Badami unfold Vijayanagar Empire’s monuments.

After visiting Lotus Mahal, Elephant stables, Krishna Temple, Kodandarama Temple, Vitthal Temple, Raghunath Temple, Hazara Ram Temple of Hampi, return back to Hospet hotel for overnight stay.

Day 24

Hospet-Badami- Pattadakal-Aihole-Badami

Today you will have to depart from Hospet hotel early, after taking breakfast. The reason being, you have to visit 3 important and historically significant places of Badami, Pattadakal and Aihole and the course of visiting these places, you will be covering distance of about 235 kms. Having delicious breakfast in Hospet hotel, proceed for visiting three important and nearby historical sites with rich remains of ancient monuments. Visit Badami Caves, Mahakuta Temple, Monuments of Pattadakal, Durga and Lad Khan Temples of Aihole.

After visiting Badami, Pattadakal and Aihole, return to Badami hotel for overnight stay.
