Around the State Legislative Assembly arc the Public Gardens, with plants gathered from all over the world and small lotus lakes. The other feature of the
gardens is a cluster of cypresses. Apart from the Assembly House, the gardens also house other important institutions like the State Archaeological Museum, the Health
Museum, and the Ajanta Pavilion displaying full-size imitations of the frescos of Ajanta.
