Kufri is located about 16 kms from Shimla, at a height of 8600 feet. Kufri is the capital of winter sports. During the winter, visitors have the opportunity for skiing. The ski season is at its best during January and February. Ski equipments are available from HPTDC winter sports club in Kufri. Besides skiing, Kufri is a very nice picnic area with a beautiful view of the hills around and the snow-capped peaks. There is also a zoo that delights children.
