How to Reach Jaipur

Jaipur, the most visited city in Rajasthan and part of Golden Triangle tourist circuit in north India, is a prime tourist destination. Jaipur is well connected with all major cities of India with flights/air, road and rail/train. Depending on itinerary and travel budget, a traveler may opt from a large number of transport options to arrive this beautiful pink city. By Road: Reach Jaipur by Road Jaipur is located at the distance of 254 kms from New Delhi and 235 kms from Agra. National Highways and state highways connect it with all major cities of Rajasthan and India. Jaipur is part of Golden Triangle of India- Delhi Agra Jaipur tour circuit. The surface infrastrcture is modern and efficient. As a result, the distance between New Delhi & Jaipur can be traversed in 5 hours. Similarly, the distance between Agra and Jaipur can be also travelled in 5 hours. Pushkar, one of the Hindu pilgrimages in Rajasthan, is located only 148 kms away from Jaipur and can be reached in 3 hours. Similarly, Ranthambhore Tifer Reserve is mere 3 hours drive away. Road connectivity of Mandawa, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Udaipur with Jaipur is very good.

By Train: Jaipur is the capital of desert province of India, Rajasthan. It is well connected by train or railway with major cities of India. There are three railway stations in Jaipur – Jaipur Junction, Gandhinaga & Durgapara. Jaipur Junction is located in the heart of the city ans is the main station. Most of the trains arrive at Jaipur Junction where as few trains terminate or originate from Gandhinagar and Durgapara railway stations. India’s one of the premium trains Shatabdi Express offers comfortable and luxurious journey experience beteen New Delhi and Jaipur. A double-decker train that plies between national capital and Rajasthan’s capital offers unique experience of train journey. India’s world renowned luxury train Palace on Wheels can also be booked for visiting Jaipur, along with many other tourist destinations of Rajasthan and north India. Jaipur is also connected by train with Agra, Indore, Gwalior, Udaipur, Jodhpur etc.

By Plane: Jaipur is home to international as well as domestic airports. Jaipur airport has two terminals- Terminal 1 & Terminal 2. Terminal 1 is called Jaipur International Airport. Several international flights terminate nad originate from here. Direct flights of Air Arabia, Air India Express and Oman Air for Sharjah, Muscat & Dubai take place from here. Terminal-2 is reserved for domestic flights. Jaipur is connected by air to several Indian cities, especially Delhi, Mumbai, Udaipur, Hyderabad and Bangaluru. Flights of Air India, GoAir, IndiGo, JetAirways, JetLite & SpiceJet carriers land here from several cities of India like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Jammu, Goa, Hyderabad & Pune. Jaipur airport is located in Sangner area of Jaipur, about 10 kms from city centre.
