Goa Beach Tour

  5 Days / 4 Nights

   Goa

5 days Goa Beach Tour consists of leisurely exploration of the culture & heritage of Goa, relaxation on sandy beaches, a boat cruise at the corners of the Zuari river and exotic view of birds and crocodiles in Goa. Goa, a true paradise, is one of the most famous destinations of the world, popular for its sandy beaches. Goa is a fairy tale for lovers of sports as it offers wonderful opportunities to be able to engage in water games. The coast of Goa is always a joy to be there for lovers of the beach. Goa is a rather unique place in India, very different from the rest of the country. It is mostly a popular vacation spot for Indians visiting the beach and partying in this state, where legislation is much more flexible than in the rest of the country, especially on alcohol. The great difference between Goa and the rest of India lies in its history: the state was under Portuguese domination from the 16th century until 1961, when it became independent, and the Goan people are mostly Catholic. The result is a beautiful cultural and architectural heritage, which alone justifies a trip to Goa, beyond the pleasures of the beach and the festival. Whether you want to enjoy the beach, party, practice yoga or meditation or visit the cultural heritage, here are the best places to go to enjoy a trip to Goa.

Day 2

Goa

In the morning you will tour the old and new Goa. With its colonial history, Goa boasts a very beautiful Portuguese architectural heritage, with beautiful white immaculate churches and beautiful colonial-style houses to visit. Most of the major sites are located in Panaji and Old Goa in the northern part of the state, but there are also houses that deserve a detour further south.

Panaji, more commonly known as Panjim, is the capital of Goa State. It is a real pleasure to stroll through the narrow streets of the old town (including 31st January road) with its houses of Portuguese influence. You may to go to the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, one of the most beautiful in the State of Goa with its bright white facade and the Menezes-Braganza Institute, with beautiful tiles in the hall of entry.

Old Goa, or Velha Goa, was the ancient capital of the Portuguese empire of Asia, abandoned in the seventeenth century after epidemics of cholera and malaria. Today, the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a place not to be missed during Goa tour. There is an impressive concentration of churches, such as the Basilica of Bom Jesus, the high place of the Catholic world which houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier, the patron saint of Goa. There is also the Cathedral of St. Catherine (Se), which is the largest church in Old Goa, the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary ... St. Augustine Monastery, in ruins, is ideal to be seen at sunset.
